This Sunday, September 8th, is Rally Sunday! The Spark Sunday School students will begin their activities at 10:45 a.m. There will be registration, games and prizes and seeing all your friends from last year.
A Hot Dog Lunch will be served after worship. All in attendance on Sunday (not just the Sunday School) are welcome to share this meal and fellowship.
Also, during our 9:30 a.m. worship, there will be a Blessing of Grandparents.

The New American office of Lutheran Social Services has informed us that they need help with supplying school supplies to some families that will be arriving in Grand Forks soon.
They desperately need school supplies, school bags and any kinds of winter clothing/boots, etc. They are expecting to need items for 17 students.
Age 4 & under – 2 boys
7-10 yrs. – 3 boys & 1 girl
12-14 yrs. – 1 boy & 3 girls
15-16 yrs. – 2 boys & 1 girl
1 – 18 yr. old girl
1 – 19 yr. old girl
2 – 20 yr. old girls
Your donations can be dropped off at their office downtown, or brought to St. Mark’s. We will see that they are delivered.

This Sunday during worship, Pastor Paul will be doing a Blessing of Backpacks and Students. We want to get the school year off to a great start by asking God’s presence and blessing.
Join us for worship at 9:30 a.m. Also, Grand Harmony will be sharing some of their music with us at the beginning of the service.
Tomorrow, August 20th, St. Mark’s will be hosting a Neighborhood Block Party in our parking lot 4:30-6:30 p.m. There will be hotdogs, rootbeer floats, popcorn, carnival games, inflatable games and more.

Worship this Sunday will be outdoors. Bring your sunglasses, and join us for worship at 9:30 a.m. Plan to stay for coffee and fellowship afterwards.
We will worship downstairs in the Fellowship Hall – or, should we say at Kingdom Rock-“Where Kids Stand Strong for God”. Kristine Middleton and her helpers will be presenting one of the Epic Bible Adventures from the VBS curriculum used a couple weeks ago. They will be telling us the story of Esther and teaching us how family and friends help us…stand strong!
Julie Abrahamson will be our worship leader for the remainder of the service.

Vacation Bible School at St. Mark’s begins Sunday, July 21st, and runs through Thursday, July 25th. Join us for the family meal at 5:30 pm each evening. The sessions will run 6:00-8:30 pm. All 4 year olds to 5th graders are welcome.
This year’s theme is “Kingdom Rock – Where Kids Stand Strong for God”. VBS is always a fun week here. Plan to send your children and their friends. Registration slips are available on our website, in the church office or by calling the office at 772-4807.
Registrations will also be accepted Sunday evening.

Don’t miss the Mug & Muffin Bible Study tomorrow at the church. Come at 9:30 a.m. for a “mug & muffin” and stay for the Bible Study. Pastor Paul will be leading the session that will run 9:45 to 11:00 a.m.
The theme of this year’s three-session study is “All Who Hunger, Gather Gladly”. This month’s lesson is, “Do We Have Enough?” Please join us for a morning of fellowship and study.
