Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks is holding a special event
“Called to Respond to our Neighbors in Need”
Sunday, May 20th at Calvary Lutheran (Fellowship Hall) 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Sometimes it takes a tragedy to remind us that we belong to each other and we are called to care for one another.
Do we know what to do if the person in front of us is undergoing a mental health, relationship or financial crisis? What do we say and where do we get help?
Calvary Lutheran has invited a panel of professionals from GF Police Department, CVIC, Grand Forks School District, Altru and North East Human Services to come together to help us. They are eager to share their expertise and resources that can help us to respond to those around us who are struggling.
This event is for young adults and adults. Childcare will be available for young children.
Bring your questions, your concerns, and your desire to be a good neighbor.
All Are Welcome!!
Calvary is located at 1405 South 9th Street. Questions? Call 701-772-4897
Our Sunday School students spent a couple hours at Red River Gymnastics yesterday to celebrate the “near” end of their school term. They had lots of fun! A great place to spend a couple hours!!
St. Mark’s WELCA group hosted their annual Mother-Daughter-Friend Brunch May 5th.
It was a beautiful day with food and fellowship and a great way to honor all the women in our lives.
We were treated to a program on ballads, folk music, etc. by Tamara Ayer who is a very talented violinist from Australia. It was a great way to start a Saturday!
On April 29th, St. Mark’s had a group of UND Students here participating in UND’s Big Event. These students worked hard and accomplished a lot with enthusiasm and good humor. They vacuumed, cleaned, washed, dusted, etc- no job too big or small. Thank you so much. Thanks, too, for our member volunteers who worked along side the students today – Kathy W., Ray & Kathy M., Nancy & Arnie H., and Iver & Sandy B.
The St. Mark’s WELCA Annual Rummage Sale will be held on Saturday, April 14th, 9-2. Proceeds from their sale will go towards local and global ministries.
