St. Mark’s will be participating in the United Way’s “Undies Sundays” project again this year.  The first three Sundays in October (October 7, 14 and 21) will be collection Sundays to help people in our community.  Often we take everyday things for granted.  Like Underwear!  Clothing such as underwear, socks and undershirts are not donated at area thrift stores. 

We are asking for donations of new under garments, socks, diapers and personal care items (shampoo, shaving cream, feminine hygiene products, etc).  There is a collection box for your donated items on the mission table in the narthex.  Items should be brought to the church by October 21st.  These items will then be collected by the Altru Professional Nurses Committee and distributed via United Way agencies, area shelters, County Social Services and food banks.
