Outdoor Worship July 1st

Join us for an outdoor worship service this Sunday, July 1st, and Get in the Spriit of Summer!  Bring a lawn chair or blanket, sunglasses and hat for our 9:30 am Sunday worship on the lawn at St. Mark’s.  We will be celebrating the spirit of summer by praising God for the beauty of our world.  With the 4th of July just around the corner, we want to remember the blessings of our community and nation.  Popsicles and lemonade will be served following the service.  Savor God’s gift of summer!

Rummaging for Refugees

A group from St. Mark’s had a unique experience Saturday, June 23rd.  Our church had a “Rummaging for Refugees” project Saturday morning.   The parishioners donated $160.00, and four  members jumped in the Christiansons pickup and drove around town searching out wonderful treasures at garage sales. The New American group in town had given Pastor Paul a list of household needs, and they spent three hours shopping for others. In that time, they filled the pickup box about 1 1/2 times and only spent about $107. The remainder will be used to purchase new items (bed pillows). They came back with a recliner, stroller, rice cooker, several sets of sheets, comforters, glassware, serving bowls, lamps, baby bathtub, so much stuff–Great group of ladies to shop with, and several people donated their own items in addition to this. They were getting in the spirit of summer!

Vacation Bible School

Join us July 29 to August 2, 2012, for Vacation Bible School! The theme this year is SKY. Here is a video about the program.

There is a family meal each night at 5:30 p.m. VBS runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Please print and fill out a VBS Registration Form 2012 for each child who will attend and return it to the church office at the mailing address below.
