Parent Grief Support Group

The Parent Grief Support Group at St. Mark’s will meet the second Thursday of the month during the summer months.

The next meeting will be June 13th, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s (715 24th Avenue South).

There is a great need in our community for a group for parents experiencing the grief of losing a child.    If you have any questions, please contact the church office at 772-4807.

Mug and Muffin Bible Study

Our first Mug and Muffin Bible Study of the summer will be held Tuesday, June 11th, at St. Mark’s.  Join us for a “mug and muffin” at 9:30 a.m.  The study will be 9:45-11:00 a.m.  The theme of this year’s three session study is “All Who Hunger, Gather Gladly”.  Pastor Paul will lead the study which will look at – What is it to be hungry?  What is it to be fed?  To whom do we feed?

The study is in the women’s magazine, “Gather”.  Having a subscription is not required to attend the study.

WELCA Brunch

The annual WELCA Mother, Daughter, Sister, Friend brunch will be held this Saturday, May 4th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s.

This year’s theme is “Weave Us Together”.  Alyce Gibbs will be the guest speaker.

Congregational Meeting

St. Mark’s will have a brief congregational meeting after our 9:30 worship this Sunday. April 28th.  Council members will be elected.

Plan to stay afterward and share a potluck lunch.   Our guests will be our new members…and Pastor Matthew Voorhees and his group from North Dakota Teen Challenge.

North Dakota Teen Challenge

Representatives from North Dakota Teen Challenge will be with us during worship this Sunday, April 28th.  Teen Challenge  is a faith-based residential recovery program for people battling with drug and alcohol problems. Adults, ages 18 and over, from every ethnic, socio-economic, and religious background are welcomed with open arms as they embark on their new life.

They will be talking about their program, sharing stories of faith and their men’s choir will be sharing music with us.

A free will offering will be taken to benefit their program.

After a short congregational meeting after worship, please stay with us as we share a potluck lunch.

Thank You!

The Education Committee would like to thank everyone who helped make the Snack Bar at last week’s rummage sale a success.  Thank you to all who donated baked goods for purchase – and, to all of you who purchased treats.

They were able to raise $283.00, which will be given to the Ronald McDonald House in honor of Hannah Twedt.

Rummage Sale!

Saturday! Saturday! Saturday!!!

Come on down and shop at our annual rummage sale!!

Clothing $5 a bag (all you can stuff in),  furniture in the narthex priced to sell and everything else is “give as you have been blessed” free will offering! Get in a “spring” mood even though our weather says otherwise! Get your shopping shoes on and come on down!!

Sale hours are 9 am-3pm.  Early Bird shoppers will be admitted 8 am-9am for a $2.00 admittance fee.

Our Sunday School kids will have a snack bar offering coffee, water, gatorade and baked goods.  The snack bar will be open during sale hours and proceeds from the snack bar will benefit the Ronald McDonald house.

Baked Goods Needed for Snack Bar

Bakers, we need your help!

The Education Committee, along with the Sunday School children and youth are going to have a snack bar for shoppers at this Saturday’s (April 13) rummage sale from 9-3.  They will be offering coffee, bottled water, Gatorade and baked goods.

Proceeds from the snack bar will be used to buy supplies needed at the Ronald McDonald House, in honor of Hannah Twedt. Hannah will be staying there during her upcoming surgeries.

We are requesting help with baking your favorite bars, muffins, or cookies for this sale. We would like all items at the church by 7:00 pm Friday. Tami and Kristen will be on hand to organize the snack bar.

Rummage Sale items needed

The annual Rummage Sale at St. Mark’s will be held Saturday, April 13th, 9am-3pm.  Early Bird shoppers will be admitted 8am-9am for a $2 fee.  

We are in need of your donated sale items!   Donated items can be dropped off at the church Monday through Friday 10-4.

Sorry, but we cannot accept  OLD COMPUTERS, OLD PAINT, OR OPEN CONTAINERS OF BATH PRODUCTS, OPEN CONTAINERS OF CLEANING SUPPLIES OR OPEN CONTAINERS OF PERSONAL PRODUCTS.
