St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church

St. Mark’s held our 3rd Annual Car Show in July. Thank you to all who exhibited your cars and shared in our picnic supper. All proceeds receiving that evening will be gifted to Homeless Helpers.

We have many to thank for the event. Thank you to Rick Jackson for coordinating with the car owners. Thank you to Troop 130. You are amazing. They set up, served the food, cleaned up and just about anything else we asked them to do. Thank you to Jerry Bear for providing the great music. Thank you to Iver Buchmann for grilling the hot dogs. Thank you to all the cookie bakers. Thank you to Gate City Bank for donating the cookie sleeves. Thank you to St. Mark’s Outreach Ministry for all their planning.

It was a great evening – unfortunately cut short by the weather.

St. Mark’s confirmed two students on Reformation Sunday, October 29th. During worship that morning, Synje and Spencer affirmed their baptism and their faith during this special worship.

Our July 2023 Car Show was an enjoyable and successful evening. We had approx. 45 vehicles in the show and lots of people came to walk through and enjoy a picnic supper. Freewill offering proceeds from the vehicle registrations and picnic supper were gifted to our local Homeless Helpers charity.

Thank you to all who attended! And, thank you to all who helped with the show with set up, food donations, music, etc.

St. Mark’s Annual Rummage Sale will be held April 21st – 9am to 2pm, and April 22nd – 9am to Noon. No early bird shopping and no admission fee!

St. Mark’s will hold their Annual Meeting following the 10:30 worship on Sunday, January 29th. Please plan to attend. The agenda includes information on the parish, election of delegates to several functions, approval of the 2023 Budget – and a few more items.

Annual Report packets will be distributed following worship on Sunday, January 22nd, at the Forum. This will be a time to ask questions prior to the annual meeting.

Christmas Eve Worship at St. Mark’s will be at 3:00 pm. This is a very worshipful Candlelight worship.

St. Mark’s is part of the GIFT of Grace Lutheran Ministry parish. Each church will host evening suppers and worships on Wednesdays during lent on a rotating schedule. On the Wednesdays that St. Mark’s isn’t the evening host, we will hold a noon worship here.
