Dale Raatz  –  Synodically Authorized Minister (SAM)

I have been at St. Mark’s since March of 2018, first serving as an interim minister and then completing my internship here.  I have Dale Raatzthoroughly enjoyed working with this congregation.  For a small church they have a dynamic Mission Program that rivals some of the larger congregations in Grand Forks, and are very talented musically, and have a Great Quilter’s Group.

I graduated from Luther Seminary in May of 2019 and am currently serving as the Synodically Authorized Minister (SAM) at St. Mark’s.

I am a retired military veteran with 20 years of service in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller, and after retirement became a Lecturer at the University of North Dakota for 8 years.  I also taught at a private Air Traffic Control School for three years and have taught in the Grand Forks School District as a Substitute Teacher for three years.

I am married to Terezinha (Teri), and we have two grown children who are both married Francisco (Jackie) and Cassandra (Craig), and six grandchildren: Aiden, Alexsandro, Makayla, George, Cecilia and Charlotte.

I was raised on a farm near Oakes, North Dakota, where we raised livestock, small grains and row crops.  Teri and I currently live here in Grand Forks.

Sandy Buchmann – Office Manager         Sandy

I have been in the office here at St. Mark’s since July of 2008. My days are spent answering phones, greeting people, coordinating activities in the church and keeping track of the finances.   I feel so blessed coming to work every day and spending time with my St. Mark’s family.   I also am one of the St. Mark’s organists.
