Pastor Sarah Raymond
I am so excited to be serving the people of St. Mark’s and the Grand Forks community. I have been the pastor at the rural churches who have now partnered with St. Mark’s in ministry as G.I.F.T. of Grace Lutheran Ministry. Before that, I served at Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, where I was ordained in 2013.
I love the ever-changing role of a pastor. With the virus and all of its complications, it has made me shift and change and learn new things. While I hate that it keeps us apart, I can feel curious about how it will change and improve us as churches and followers of Christ.
My children range in age from 27 to 5, and they are at many different stages in life. Currently, Izzy and Shane split their time between my house and their dad’s house, and they attend school in Thompson. The other 4 are out making their way in the world, from Fredericksburg, VA to Gwinner, ND. I grew up in South Dakota, attended college in Colorado and in St. Paul, MN and have lived in North Dakota since 1991.
I love to garden and knit/crochet and read and do puzzles during COVID, but my first love is travel. I have a side business leading and planning trips to Egypt and the Holy Land. Hopefully, we will get to travel again soon!
I look forward to being the church with you all. Peace, health and blessings to you all!
Sandy Buchmann – Office Manager
I have been in the office here at St. Mark’s since July of 2008. My days are spent answering phones, greeting people, coordinating activities in the church and keeping track of the finances. I feel so blessed coming to work every day and spending time with my St. Mark’s family. I also am one of the St. Mark’s organists.
